Our residential and commercial real estate clients are effectively represented by Joe Fortunato, the immediate Past President of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association. Joe has over 30 years of experience with every facet of real estate and is frequently called upon to speak at the DuPage County Bar Association and REALTOR Association of West/South Suburban Chicagoland seminars on various real estate issues. He is also a frequent speaker at the ISBA Law Ed Series seminars and the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, for whom he authored the chapter on Disclaimers for the Residential Real Estate handbook. He is Vice-Chair of the ISBA Real Estate Section Council and is a Member of the ISBA subcommittee in Liaison with the Illinois Association of Realtors. Joe is Board Counsel for the REALTOR Association of West/South Suburban Chicagoland. He formerly served as Chair of DuPage County Bar Association Real Estate Law and Practice Committee. He has been a Licensed Real Estate Licensing and Continuing Education Instructor and is currently a Title examiner and Registered Title Agent for Attorney's Title Guaranty and other title insurers. He has also testified as an expert witness in Attorney malpractice suits.
Joe serves a Member of the Ad Hoc Committe to redraft the Multi-Board Residential Real Estate Contract approved by many suburban Bar Associations and REALTOR Associations.
